The General Secretary of the Students' Representative Council at the Ghana Institute of journalism, Nathaniel Alpha has urged students to abide by the notices served on campus.
According to the Chief Scribe, these notices are part of the various mechanisms instituted by the S.R.C. to ensure sanity on campus.
He made these remarks in a conversation with Radio GIJ Online on Thursday, 15th February, 2018.
Nathaniel Alpha also indicated the need to access and analyse these directives for sometime so as to determine its usefulness on campus

He is also optimistic about the change of attitudes from students in the coming days through the intervention of their campaign.
Meanwhile, these measures have received a massive backing from students on campus, as they believe it is in the right direction.
The General Secretary of GIJ-SRC further touched on the worrying development on Campus in which Lecture Halls are meant to be closed after each class, assuring students of remaining calm as they find a solution to it.
"We are in talks with management on the closing of lecture halls and the notices served across are some of the requirements from management that can help ameliorate their early decision."
On Monday, 12th February 2018, students were met with a new directive from management to close all lecture halls after class.

Students at the Ghana Institute of Journalism have described this move by school's Management as unfortunate, and an infringement upon their academic freedom.
