The General Assembly of the Students' Representative, at the Ghana Institute of Journalism will hold its first meeting for the Second Semester of the 2017/2018 academic year on Friday, 16th February, 2018.
Mr. Martin Thompson, the President of the Students' Representative Council is expected to brief the General Assembly of the current happenings on campus and his way forward, in what is termed as the "State of the S.R.C. Address."
This was made known in a communiqué released and signed by the Clerk of The General Assembly, Caleb Nii Boi Boye on Monday, 12th February, 2018, under the authority of the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Edwin Abanga.
In addition to this, the External Affairs' Commission and the Organising Committee are required to present their reports on Friday.
Other important briefings to look out for that very day include; the Reconstitution of 2016/2017 Audit Committee and a proposed Financial Budget for the entire semester.
The meeting is also tipped to address the numerous challenges of students, and other relevant issues brought before the Assembly.
Meanwhile, the dress code for this event is strictly formal in accordance with Parliamentary Standards.
Lecture Hall D5 is the venue for this session and the time is 12: 00 PM.
This meeting is open to all and sundry.
